Describe your website.

The website is to help people making music in Ableton Live on a Mac. It contains tutorials, free plugins, information on midi control and easy ways to control Live.

Who is the target audience for your website?

My target audience is beginner to intermediate music producers who are interested in using Ableton live on a Mac, hence the name macableton.com.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

My website is basically very niche. There are various sites for Live users, but half of the people using it are on Macs, so I figured, why not a site specifically for them? For instance, my home page has shortcuts for Mac, no need to try to include ones I can't even test. Keep it simple is my motto.

Tell us a story about this website.

I had a professional say it was great apart from the font, and I changed all the font for the whole site in a few minutes!

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

I just went for clean sheets because my site is about Ableton Live and that has a very minimal GUI. I like the way it has a wide border so it can be seen on different devices like the ipad.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

Well, I'm pretty happy that I've done something with html so I can embed a link in the text to jump to a specific point on any page. I got the information from the forum and also posted how I did it. It's very easy actually. The anchor tag is invisible and the link is a normal external link in Inspector with the full url if it's a different page and then #name.
