Describe your website.
My website is designed for the professional film community to listen to the music i have composed over the years. The music is featured under the headings: orchestral, instrumentals and songs. The goal is to find new clients who are willing to pay me to compose custom music for their current film, Internet, or commercial projects.
Who is the target audience for your website?
The kind of people that will be interested in my site
will be directors, producers, screenwriters, and film industry professionals.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
The advantage of my website over my competitor's is the content, the look, and the feel. I wanted to create a space where visitors might want to hang out for a while. People will choose to do business with me because I am a great composer.
Tell us a story about this website.
Before Sandvox I was using iWeb. I had no idea that Apple had stopped supporting iWeb, until my site began to slowly dismantle itself. So I thought, "okay, it's time to move on."
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
i like the dark tones and the minimal feel of the template. I didn't load up the site with piles of words. I decided it would be best for the music to speak for itself. Less is always more for me.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
I am sort of an idiot with this type of thing, really... So I am not sure i have much to say on this topic. The key for me was to just get it "up" there working. That blew my mind plenty enough, knowing full well i'd be constantly updating with new music as the weeks pass.
