Describe your website.

My website is designed to supplement my book "It's Your Move: Choices for Senior Living." Since there are lots of links listed in the paperback book, there is a Resources page with these links so you don't have to type them. It shows you Sample Lists as a preview of the paperback. Amazon Reviews of the book are highlighted here. A page called The Story - a 13 minute video with highlights from one of my talks compares costs across the country. A Contact page lets folks email me. My Blog has information for senior citizens such as brain exercises, dementia; probate, why we get wrinkles, etc. there's a page Tucson Stuff for local folks.

Who is the target audience for your website?

Retirees who have health problems, or who are lonely, or are tired of cooking, yard work and house maintenance and don't know what their choices are, what they can afford and don't want to be a burden on their children.
Senior citizens thinking of moving in with their children, or hiring help so they can stay in their home.
Adult children whose parents have health problems, whom they think should no longer live alone, whose spouse has passed away or show signs of dementia or Alzheimer's.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

My book is only 82 pages. It is easy to read and contains 33 lists. Folks can use these lists to help them objectively evaluate their options. Many books on where to live as you retire are verbose and are telling the story of a family member. Administrators at retirement homes - independent living through nursing homes - tell me most folks who take a tour do not have a list and don't quite know what they're looking for. These lists should help them decide.

Tell us a story about this website.

When I wrote my book, I didn't research titles or URLs. To my dismay, after the book was published I found that moving companies and physical therapists used my title "It's Your Move" so I couldn't get that URL and I tell folks to search on Amazon or Barnes & Noble using my name instead of the title. One of life's lessons about planning.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

Since this is a website about choosing where to live as you age, the boat sailing into a sunset was the perfect image!
