Our website has a brief history of Barney's Beach Service, when and where we began operations, and how long we've been in business. [It] mentions our signature tanning oil that we sell (Kona Gold ) - coffee infused tanning oil. [Also] products that we rent out on the beach [such as] umbrellas, chairs, and boogie boards.
Who is the target audience for your website?
Anyone considering vacationing in the St Augustine, Florida area is our target audience. Families, couples, or anyone who wants to visit the nation's oldest city and possibly spend a little time on one of America's most beautiful beaches ( St. Augustine Beach).
What is the advantage of your website over others?
I believe I've created a very customer-friendly website. Easy to navigate with pictures and a map of our locations. Other competitor websites are cartoonish and cluttered.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
The color scheme and layout was just perfect for what I
had in mind. I used a photo I had taken of the beach for the homepage of the website. It's a beautiful shot of an umbrella row with a lifeguard and the Atlantic ocean in the background. This particular design allowed for photos to be placed in and around blocks of content information.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
There was no need for clever tricks on this website. Just straightforward web design. I didn't know enough at the time to use slight-of-hand. Just simple text and photos placed where I thought they looked best.
Added a map (very simple to do), contact page and voila!
