Describe your website.

My website provides a summary of my book, A Pianist: Wanderings of the Mind and Spirit, along with an excerpt, the complete table of contents, and a link to Amazon. I also have a page devoted to my lectures on music and art, and a link to contact me for groups that are would like to invite me to host a conversation. I'm a piano teacher, so I have a link to a page about my work with students. Another page features several of my own recordings, including "Improvisation on the High Line," a brief composition I wrote for an iOS app that's a companion to the book "On the High Line" by Annik LaFarge. I'm using the website to profile all these different aspects of my work.

Who is the target audience for your website?

Anyone interested in my memoir, which tells the story of my life as a pianist and a gay man; people of all ages who are interested in piano lessons; anyone who wants to listen to recordings I've made on the piano.

Tell us a story about this website.

For more than a year I had been speaking with an organization about giving a lecture. When the website went live, I emailed the person I had been speaking with and included a link. He visited the website and immediately -- that same day -- contacted me about setting up the talk.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

It's very simple and elegant, and displays all the content -- text, images, videos, audio clips -- beautifully and clearly.
