Describe your website.
The intent of this website is to provide information and resources to my secondary English and Phys. Ed. students and their parents. On the front page, parents can navigate to the "About Me" section to get my contact information and see what courses I am teaching each semester. On individual class pages, for example, Period 1 students and parents can read class updates and view or download PDF files for each unit of study. I also have students respond to blog topics twice a month.

I sometimes receive compliments from students, but mostly from their parents, regarding the layout, information and other content I provide on the site. Some of my colleagues and administrators compliment the site as a resource and example for other teachers to aspire to do themselves.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I chose the "Smooth Dark" Sandvox design because it is minimal, elegant, and contemporary in its simplicity. I also chose it since it allows relatively high contrast and is not just ordinary, plain white, like so many other sites.
