We want people to find out about Musical Theatre Orange County, our shows, as well as be able to buy tickets to upcoming shows through our website.
Who is the target audience for your website?
Mostly people that are involved or interested in good musical theatre. Typically they would be looking for auditions in the area, or looking at examples of shows we have produced, or hopefully looking to purchase tickets to our show.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Our website has a clean professional look to it. Even though it is template based, it doesnt look like most of the typical template websites out there, particularly other local non-profit theatre companies.
Tell us a story about this website.
It's been liberating, having control over regular updates. I published the site while many of the pages were incomplete, and still under construction. It's been great fun and very rewarding to continue updating it, especially since it is SO easy to publish the updates.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
It had a very clean and professional look, and worked very well with our photo based content.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
I am still learning the finer points of design and all of the tools available. But I did use the You Tube insert effectively along side pictures.
