I got a call at 6:00 AM (PST) from a person in Connecticut (it was 9:00 AM there) looking for a specific drill size to be used for one of our thread-repair products. He didn't realize at first that we were 3 hours behind, but it was OK because I get up at 5:30 AM. I was able to look-up the information quickly and help this person out, even though it wasn't in my territory.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
This design is sort of industrial looking, while still contemporary.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
The extensive functionality is very useful. I'm not using all of the features yet, but ultimately I will use them. I particularly like the ease of adding the RSS feed (see the main page), which are timely and relevant to the industry that I serve. Interestingly, I was an Internet Manager at several large media companies before changing careers. I had an army of programmers and content people who seldom achieved the great Websites that I can do alone with Sandvox. Great product!
