Describe your website.

My home page is designed to tell my background and history as a writer and introduce me to readers. To promote my writing, I also present a synopsis of Thirsty Planet, my novel of global warming and sustainability; a synopsis of Dementia Diary, my memoir about being caregiver to my mother while she suffered from an Alzheimer's like dementia; examples of my Poetry, Stories, Articles and such; and a link list to other appropriate sites. My goal is to encourage people to read my writings.

Who is the target audience for your website?

For my two full length books, I hope to reach readers of science-fiction and general fiction, environmentalists, physicists, people interested in global warming and climate change, eldercaregivers, and Alzheimer's disease sufferers. People of all ages and genders will enjoy these books.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

My books are artistically unique and there really aren't any competitors. There are books on similar topics that also approach their content in unique ways. People that like my books will also by these other books.

Tell us a story about this website.

Many people that see my website comment on it's clean and attractive appearance and the ease of navigating it.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

The picture in the design shows a parched landscape that suggests the visuals in the Earth of my novel, Thirsty Planet, in the year 2121 when much of the action takes place. It looks like it was specifically designed for my book.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

This is the second site I've created with Sandvox. I learned a lot from the first one which still exists. The first one is attractive but much too complicated and busy. This second website, "Bob Tell in Words," is simpler, cleaner and, I believe, more user friendly than the first. Doing the first site taught me the techniques I used to keep it simple the second time around.
