Describe your website.

The purpose for my website is to promote my books and myself as a published author. The book I have on the website now is titled Virion, a mystery/thriller. As well, I want to promote my publisher, Black Rose Writing. I also want to include interesting links and a weblog page for discussions.

Who is the target audience for your website?

My website is meant to attract readers of good fiction novels, especially mystery/thriller novels. It would be a benefit if a successful literary agent also discovered my site and wanted to handle my future books.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

The advantage of my website is that it introduces my work to readers of mystery/thriller novels without having to surf around a site that promotes many books of different genres.

Tell us a story about this website.

My website has not been up long enough to provide an interesting story. A number of my relatives and friends have commented on it, but it's too new to have attracted much attention.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

Being an artist myself, I was looking for a design that was out of the ordinary, a little mysterious. I thought the design I choose was the most interesting of those offered.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

I walked into the room blind and just started feeling around, followed the prompts, used the video instructions and help...a lot. I haven't learned about raw HTML. I consider my site a work in progress. I'm not done with it. But still, it does what I need it to do at this time. I hope to be able to take book orders on the site eventually, but do not know how to accomplish that at the moment.
