Sandvox Website Profile: “The White Chocolate Band”

The website was designed to convey the quality of entertainment and music we provide. The site had to do a good job of managing music video (YouTube being very important), music audio and many photo images. There are a million other bands that do what we do. We had to have a site that set us apart. Sandvox came through for us in that regard.

Our target audience is primarily event planners, brides, college and business groups as well as booking agents and other entertainment providers.

A big advantage for us is the ability to change the content of the site often. Our competitors have sites that have grown stale since their launch. We are able to keep things fresh and timely with our site. Our site may not have some of the bells and whistles of other sites, but our site WORKS. People can navigate our site easily and quickly which translates into business for us.

Many people have asked who designed our site. A lot of people think a professional graphic design firm did the work on our site. Most people are surprised to learn that I did all of the work myself - with much help from Sandvox. We were voted Best of Weddings 2010 on The Knot - the largest online source for the wedding industry. It is a big honor and I believe our site had a large part in helping us achieve this.

I purchased our design because I really liked the sleekness of it. We have a lot of photo content and it was important for those things to stand out. It came out better than we could have hoped for.

I'm afraid I don't have really much to share in this regard. The thing that made Sandvox easy to use is the fact that you don't need to know a lot about designing a website. I have learned a great deal in the year since we launched the site, but most of the techniques involved are basic. The ability to really customize the Contact Form was big for us. We're getting much better info than we did in the past.
