My website tells about the dyslexia tutoring I offer in Madison, Alabama. I give information for parents about the signs of dyslexia, dyslexia testing, dysgraphia, etc. Since I am a former home-schooler, I also share the benefits of home-schooling a dyslexic child and share my homeschooling story. I also offer special dyslexia tutoring rates for home-schoolers.

I believe any parent of a child with reading difficulties will find something useful on this site. Parents can begin to learn what dyslexia is, what to do, and what not to do. The absolute worst thing is to wait and do nothing! I try to give parents the information and advice I wish I knew when my own dyslexic child was younger.

If your child does have dyslexia, there is no substitute for a trained Orton-Gillingham reading therapist! Others may claim to help kids with reading, but many methods (despite good intentions) are not designed for children with dyslexia. General tutors and even former classroom teachers often do not have the specific training to effectively tutor dyslexic children. You can't rely on the schools, because they simply don't have the resources to provide private, one-on-one tutoring, but this is exactly what a dyslexic student needs to progress.

I just recently launched my website, but I'm eagerly anticipating positive feedback. In the meantime, my family members are already quite impressed!

The Earth and Sky Theme has a nice, clean, professional feel to it. I kept the green color since it fits nicely with my "oak" theme. My logo looks great in the banner area. The pages have a soothing appearance & are easy on the eyes!
