Describe your website.
My website was set up to give me a creative venue and a community service opportunity in retirement. I shoot local amateur sports at the high school level. I do not charge, they download for free and I ask that they pay it forward with a random act of kindness.
Who is the target audience for your website?
High school athletes and their parents in Middlesex county, New Jersey. I really cover swimming, wrestling, soccer, football - all high school sports.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Aas this is not a business I have no real competition.
Tell us a story about this website.
The parents and athletes are delighted - everyone comments on how easy it is to use, to navigate and find what they need. Kids come up to me at the games and tell me how much better it is.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I chose the design because I wanted (1) a banner that I could change to one of my photos (I really want to be able to change banners on other pages as well) (2) I wanted a site menu with iWeb. They had a long list to scroll through and a sidebar to link to photo galleries on Smugmug.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
I'm a novice - but since I want them to download the photos, the links to Smugmug are fantastic. To get the parents to use it more I have links to the online schedules and scores.
