Describe your website.
My website provides a background to my career and a brief curriculum vitae. It also tells people what research projects I am currently undertaking, and publications that have resulted from this work. Finally, it provides some brief background on my current research group, and information to potential grad students and postdocs about how to join my research group.
Who is the target audience for your website?
I hope to attract the attention of other ecologists (and future ecologists) doing work in climate change biology, invasive species, or fungal endophytes. For people who follow my research, these pages should provide an update on my recent work. I also hope to attract students looking for possible graduate research supervisors, and recent PhDs looking for postdoc opportunities.
Tell us a story about this website.
I am surprised at how often people notice the link to my 'death clock'. I have linked to that site on my personal webpage for at least 10 years now. It displays the (actuarial) time I have left to live in seconds. People find it humorous and disturbing at the same time.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I periodically change my design template (a snap in Sandvox). I am always looking for a clean design that looks both professional and aesthetically pleasing at the same time. My current template was produced by a third-party design company called Behind The Rabbit.
