Describe your website.
We wish to share a little of our life in Orkney, after leaving the rat race and relocating to this remote Island off the coast of Scotland. A paradise of bird life, archaeology and location,location!
Our precious home set on its own pier overlooking the sea. Our four stone walls above the water looking over Stromness Harbour and down to Scapa Flow. We wish to show off photographs in our Gallery and share our sea views via our Orkney Webcams. We wish to offer a little taste of Orkney to our visitors.
Who is the target audience for your website?
We hope that anyone curious about life on a remote island might be interested or curious in the site. We hope to reach Orcadians who have left or who are away from the Island so that they might see a small piece of home. We hope that we might reach those who have Orcadian ancestors so they can see where they originated. The site would also appeal to those who are perhaps planning a vacation to the Islands.

Even though the site has only been up a week we have already had feedback from an Australian gentleman who ancestors are from Orkney. He was particularly pleased with the views from the Webcams.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
Integrated code from Webcam 7 camera management software into a webpage that enabled one of the IP Cams to produce a live video feed of Stromness Harbour. Integrated Javascript weather forecast and link into page.
