Describe your website.

The purpose of my website is to promote the services, features and benefits of my business, Acorn Sash Windows. We are a small, well-established, FENSA-registered company and carry out all types of work to sash windows throughout North London. This work includes repairs, draught proofing and double glazing, all with comprehensive guarantees.

I have used Sandvox to create a photo gallery with hundreds of photos of my previous work and a recommendations page with glowing testimonials from happy clients. I have clearly defined the areas covered by my business and presented prospective clients with information about us.

Who is the target audience for your website?

My website is for anyone who lives or works in a property with traditional timber sash windows and wants to restore these to their former glory and, at the same time, improve their energy efficiency. We have clients young and old, married or not - but because most people find us through my website, they are almost all web literate.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

I am congratulated time and again by my clients on the clarity and yet depth of the information on my website. Upon finding my site people are impressed by the easy navigation, but also the abundance of photos and testimonials of our services. Unlike those of rival businesses, my website offers everything a prospective client needs to make a fully informed business enquiry.

Our rivals often use their websites to encourage telephone enquiries, but have neither the time nor the manpower on-site to deal with them. This leaves prospective clients with little opportunity to discuss their requirements. But my website, with a contact form on every page, turns a great first impression into an immediate online business enquiry and because email is such a flexible medium we can respond quickly, but also at a time when, and in a manner in which, we can devote our full attention to the prospective client.
