Describe your website.
I am using my personal goal of completing a number of marathon swims to raise suicide awareness, and to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Who is the target audience for your website?
I hope to reach people who are concerned about the great number of suicides, and their tragic far reaching effect. I am also using it to reach out to the open water and marathon swimming community by offering it as a source of information on the sport and links to other sites.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I chose my design because I wanted a unique look and to be able to post a picture in the banner, have it readily readable, wide page format and tabbed pages.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
Using Sandvox Pro I could easily insert a pagelet and insert HTML code for a button to an online donation web service. it also let me inject a bit of page code to customize the design as it appeared on a couple of pages
