My website contains information regarding my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great great grandparents, great great great grandparents and my great great great great grandparents and beyond.
I have had contact with lots of extended family members because of my website.
Who is the target audience for your website?
My website is mainly interesting to people who have the same lineage as myself, however I have stated on my site that I have a lot of further information regarding other not directly related family members and may be able to help other family researchers by providing information.
Tell us a story about this website.
I had an email from someone who helped with a family mystery by providing me details of an ancestor. The relative in question was an early convict and I had no details about the crime she committed until I received an email from another researcher who was able to tell me "Ann's crime was stealing from Hiron & Thrower, linen drapers", at last I knew what she did to be transported. Made my day!
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I've tried a couple of different designs, however I've come back to Simply Blue because it suits my site, is easy on the eyes and looks good. I get a lot of positive feedback from fellow researchers when they've been for a visit, easy to navigate seems to be the comment I get most.
