What kind of websites were you planning to build?
A website to promote my new yoga services business in my region.
How did you hear about Sandvox?
I came upon Sandvox from my online search, "Website design software". I had designed my website on the iWeb platform. The day I was to publish it I heard that Apple planned to discontinue their support for this platform so I had to look around for another software platform on which to transfer all my design elements and basically start over.
What made you decide to get Sandvox?
I chose Sandvox after testing out a few other design platforms. Sandvox came out the clear front-runner for me. It is simple to use.
Sandvox was easy to use. I quickly learned the tools and within a few days I had my site not only finished... but uploaded and published!
Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?
The Sandvox web tools can be learned very quickly; the 'technical' information can be assimilated very easily, even when you are under time pressure to get your site finished and published, (which is what I needed after investing weeks into designing my site on iWeb only to have to start over!)... I needed to learn something very quickly and get my site up and running so my students and prospective clients had information asap. And I couldn't afford to go to a third party designer. I had to do it myself, from scratch... and, asap!
You don't need to be a web designer or know how to use HTML code. You read the instructions, you watch the video tutorial and then you go do it! It's that simple.
Within minutes you are building a webpage, then a whole site... and in a short time you've published it!
I also found the management and staff at Sandvox so helpful. Because I was in a hurry to get my site up online, if I couldn't find a way to do something (probably because i hadn't looked properly and I was rushing) I would shoot off an emails and ask... "Hey how do I do this...?" and straight away I would get an answer... simple instructions that would lead me straight to solving my dilemma. They are great. And the President of Sandvox sends me emails regularly asking me how's it is going, wanting feedback, and wanting to know if I am achieving what I planned.
I mean, how good is that? I have recommended Sandvox to my friends and colleagues who are building their own websites.
And... Sandvox recommends a great hosting partner A2 Hosting, who give a discount to Sandvox customers, and like Sandvox are there to answer your questions immediately and can walk you through the 'hook up' process of getting your site published, which is always a tricky thing. They made it possible. One late Saturday night, after only a few hours working on my initial site design (just a few test pages), I was up online. A few hours! Winith a few days after that, I had finished my whole design of fourteen pages. And I now upload daily changes whenever I need to (like info about my teaching classes, etc)... I can do this in just a few minutes!
What would be a good way to search for a program like Sandvox?

“The design I chose suits my requirements. I needed a plain template - an open canvas - upon which I could create my design layout. Simple, minimalist... with the tools to drop and drag photos, icons and content... quickly, efficiently. The ease of linking email and URL links is amazing.”
