What kind of websites were you planning to build?

This is a website that describes my research group's activities in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

How did you hear about Sandvox?

Our IT director, Jim Pirie, send me an article by Adam C. Engst at tidbits.com entitled "Sandvox 2.6 Extracts iWeb Site Content". I had previously made my research group website in iWeb, and I was interested in a new software package to replace iWeb.

What made you decide to get Sandvox?

I chose Sandvox at the recommendation of our IT director. We have been looking for easy software for faculty to prepare research websites with minimal effort.

Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?

This is an excellent software and a major improvement over iWeb. The style sheets are as easy to use as the ones available in iWeb but with much more options.

What would be a good way to search for a program like Sandvox?

“I have always liked website designs with the color blue, so it was easy to choose the Rounded Blue design. The other design that was appealing was Cirrus, but I preferred to have the text boxes on the right-hand side of the page.”
