What kind of websites were you planning to build?
In my spare time I develop apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I wanted to make a website that not only served as a great personal website for myself, but also one that at the same time provided information about my apps.
How did you hear about Sandvox?
I've known about Sandvox for quite a while, but had always thought I'd be better off hand-coding my website (in other words, programming my own from scratch). The person who finally changed my mind is none other than Terrence Talbot, who is on the Karelia team. We both frequent the same professional group for Mac developers.
What made you decide to get Sandvox?
What finally changed my mind about Sandvox is I had just released a new version of one of my apps on the App Store, and was looking at having to hand-code a new product page for it. Based on my conversations with Terrence, I decided to give Sandvox a shot, and was very impressed with what I was able to accomplish in just half an hour of work -- much less time than it would have taken me to hand-code a website with similar features.
Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?
I especially love the cool slideshow effect that Sandvox provides, which lets me drop several different images (in my case screenshots of my apps) into the same area on the webpage, and then have the webpage automatically animate transitions between them. It looks very professional.
What would be a good way to search for a program like Sandvox?
