What kind of websites were you planning to build?

The purpose of my website is to provide fans, publishers and potential co-authors with a single information resource and contact point. The site is geared mainly around information about my books and a blog that provides news and insights into the thinking and production of my books.

How did you hear about Sandvox?

I heard about Sandvox through various online reviews of WYSIWYG web design apps.

What made you decide to get Sandvox?

I've built sites before, invariably by hand-coding. I got tired of doing it that way, and wanted my new site to be one that I could build and maintain with minimal fuss, where my creative energy could go into the look and content, not the coding.

I chose Sandvox after demoing several apps. The others were all far too complex for my requirements, with far too steep a learning curve. Sandvox had the right combination of interface simplicity and under-the-hood sophistication.

Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?

I like Sandvox's ease of use, intuitive workflow and interface, and the ability to still inject bits of hand-coding if necessary.

I find some of the limitations a little frustrating at times (such as the limited image layout capability). But those are more than made up for by handy features like built-in blogging, automated Amazon links, built-in one-button FTP, and general friendly ease of use.
