What kind of websites were you planning to build?
I was looking for a website that could be easily constructed and maintained, even by non-techies, that would provide a pleasing and welcoming experience to busy doctors looking for a unique solution. Since the product and service involves visual images, the site has to present info with an eye (pun intended) toward that end. Being a loyal Mac developer since 1984, it had to be Mac based, and present well on the PC, too. Bravo, Sandvox, for doing it all!
How did you hear about Sandvox?
I first discovered Karelia and Sandvox following a visit to Apple's World Wide Developers conference some years ago. I was lucky enough to meet with some of the developers there (who will not remember me, but who were very gracious to an HTML newbie). Since then, I admit I've been a bit of an unpaid evangelist for this application.
What made you decide to get Sandvox?
I was looking for a website that could be easily constructed and maintained, even by non-techies, that would provide a pleasing and welcoming experience to busy doctors looking for a unique solution. The key to a successful website these days is fresh content, and Sandvox easily allows Mac-friendly text entry and editing for the non-HTML fluent among us. That really makes my job as admin a lot easier, and provides a better experience all around.
Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?
Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay to Sandvox and Karelia is that the whole experience is "very mac". By that I mean the way the application works is an extension of a very intuitive interface that doesn't get in the way of website design. Rather, it becomes transparent in the best sense; much as when reading a good book, the physical pages seem to disappear and only the story remains. I could not have created and maintained this site with my schedule, without Sandvox.
What would be a good way to search for a program like Sandvox?

“I could easily modify the standard CSS layout to generate a custom site that was still easy to construct and update. While the look is clean, I'm still pondering ways to make it more readable on smaller device screens and a greater number of mobile devices, and I believe this design offers the best...”
