Describe your website.
Our website provides an outlet for us two funny mommies to describe our everyday experiences as they relate to: children, husbands, significant others, friends and work. The site is written with a humorous, acerbic, and sarcastic slant which some mommies with very delicate sensibilities may find offensive. Our site attempts to call out those other very silly mommies and people that we come across who think way too highly of themselves. But at the end of the day, this is just a funny mommies blog.
Who is the target audience for your website?
Our funny mommies site is targeted primarily towards Enligh-speaking women in their mid-twenties to mid-forties who have younger children and like to take a break from the everyday by reading funny mommy blogs.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Also this is not a business website per se, we do intend on accepting advertisements on our funny mommy blog site in the near future. Our ultimate goal is to make a million dollars from this site, or at last enough to pay for a mani/pedi . . . whichever comes first.
Tell us a story about this website.
Once we made our Two Too Smart, Smartass Mommies site available to everybody, we were overwhelmed with the positive response, feedback and comments on our funny mommies blog site. We would like to give a quick shout out to the technical support staff at IntenseDebate - immediately after our first comment was received, we kept receiving a connection time-out every time we attempted to respond to that comment. After e-mailing those good folks, THEY had our problem solved in a less than two-hour response time. And more importantly, we have always received the same, rapid level of service when contacting Sandvox directly with a comment or question. Thank you!
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
Since our funny mommies site is designed primarily as a blog, it will (quite obviously) be "text heavy" with little to no graphics. The Sandvox design we used ("Distinction" - red) is simple, clean and allows us to play around with any font we choose.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
My experience with HTML programming literally, and only, dates back to my senior year of college. I am not going to date myself by telling y'all when that was, but it was a long, long time ago. In fact, an HTML class didn't even exist at the time - my college roommate and I created the class ourselves and then convinced a professor to teach us. But I digress. Consequently, my knowledge of HTML is limited, limited, limited. But Sandvox makes including any raw HTML wickedly simple.
