Describe your website.

Eat Fresh Travel helps people choose world destination cities to visit. Many cities in the Americas and Europe are described with interactive maps of their fresh local food markets, museums, attractions, & more. Foods in Season lists tell which months are best to plan a visit.

Who is the target audience for your website?

Foodies looking for economical travel to cities around the world where they can buy fresh seasonal foods from local markets shown on interactive maps of each city.

Tell us a story about this website.

Eat Fresh Travel.com was inspired by the explosion of fresh local food street markets all over San Francisco, California since 2010. I found many other world cities that also embrace street food markets. I added Museums & Attractions to each city map help travelers decide which city was best for them.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

I use the "Black & White" design because it will allow a 900 pixel wide page, and is the most invisible & adjustable Sandvox format I have found.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

Eat Fresh Travel.com was originally built in Dreamweaver in 2009. The website included tables of information about: foods in season, key shopping words in many languages, & links. These tables imported well into Sandvox 2.6.1 using "Raw HTML" objects, the Links import maintained all the original hyper links to external sites.
Eat Fresh Travel.com uses many Google maps that I custom created in "My Maps". I imported the maps using "Raw HTML" objects and full interactivity was maintained. I was thrilled to discover that when I copied the list of places shown to the left of each google map and pasted it into a Sandvox page all the info & "my custom icons" were shown.
