Describe your website.

Founded in 1975, The Wissahickon Historical Society's purpose is to preserve the local historical buildings, artifacts and folklore of the historic Wissahickon Valley. Our headquarters, the Whitpain Public School 1895 building, is located at the corner of Skippack Pike and School Road in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, PA. Our building houses a LIBRARY and MUSEUM of local artifacts. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in December, 2006, for its unique architecture and for its role in education in Whitpain Township.

Who is the target audience for your website?

Interested visitors are people interested in historic schoolhouses, history of Whitpain Township, photo's of old buildings, local museums and library, and local meetings.

Tell us a story about this website.

The website gets compliments from other local historical societies. Many are impressed by the ease of use, especially for uploading new content easily! The price is even more astounding to others, whom invariably seek professional help to build and maintain their website!

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

I chose the particular Sandvox design because the colors, layout of the side-panels, and the header fit best for our requirements.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

The website in my opinion is very basic. It contains written content, lots of photo's, and links to pdf files which contain newsletters, historical documents, and other info.
