What kind of websites were you planning to build?
I wanted to build a personal site with static photos folks had asked to see but the program also had to be capable of building a template and pages for a dynamically updated weather station page for the Davis Weather station on my home.
My second site was developed for our local road biking club in Summit County, CO. We had always handled communication and information through an email list and it was time to "grow up" and develop an attractive site for both club information and help for cyclists visiting Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, Copper Mountain or Silverthorne, Colorado in the summer.
How did you hear about Sandvox?
I found Sandvox through Google and general surfing of the Internet looking for a Mac web site construction program that had much more power under the hood than iWeb so I could build the weather site but would still be intuitive and easy for a semi-casual user.
What made you decide to get Sandvox?
I chose Sandvox over others for its available templates, ease of use and some Pro version HTML coding features that I needed for the weather pages.
The pro version also was essential for the summitbiking.org site in order to embed dynamic Google Calendars, route maps, etc.
Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?
Very intuitive and "drag & drop" easy to use for someone that doesn't spend a lot of time developing a site, but at the same time has a lot of power to reach under the hood for site customization.
Oshlo's Home Page
“I chose the Cabernet design. I liked the rich colors and can identify with a good glass of Cabernet - just what you need to sit down and enjoy the site.”
Summit Biking Group - Summit County Colorado
“The site uses the Sandvox Pro features to make extensive use of embedded interactive Google Maps for biking routes, an embedded Google Calendar for Group Rides and Activities, and a "page within a page" external page to pull in a blogger.com blog. We decided to use blogger.com for our blog rather...”
