Describe your website.
General personal photos, trips, cycling adventures, grandkids, etc., plus a comprehensive dynamically updated weather station page including historical data for the town of Breckenridge, CO. It's there for family members & friends who have asked to see photos as well as anyone looking for both current and historical Breckenridge weather information.
Who is the target audience for your website?
It's there for family members, friends, and anyone looking for Breckenridge, CO, weather information.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
No one else, best I know, provides the noted content. The personal photos, etc. may not be of interest to the general public; however, the current weather info is sought after by a wider number of local residents and Breckenridge visitors.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I chose the Cabernet design. I liked the rich colors and can identify with a good glass of Cabernet - just what you need to sit down and enjoy the site.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
The dynamically updated weather pages were designed in Sandvox, including the inclusion of Davis Weather Station tags using Sandvox Pro. The pages were then saved as templates to be used by Davis software that reads the templates, updates the tags with current data, and then uploads the whole HTML page to the hosting server every 30 minutes.
