Describe your website.
My jewelry is made of semiprecious gemstones and pearls. Each design is unique and crafted in my studio located in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut.
I use an Etsy shop plugin to link my shop. Customers can click on any image to launch my Etsy jewelry shop right from my web page. I also have a blog with tips for other stringers & beaders called "Pearls of Wisdom". It's great because I can generate traffic to my site by sharing my posts on social media.
Who is the target audience for your website?
My customers are boho shabby sheik fashionistas. I have a following from my art shows through out the North East. People will typically find me at a fair or show then purchase custom pieces to match their previously purchased one of a kind jewelry.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
My jewelry is unique, valuable, sturdy, and unlike any other designer's. People come to me because they value locally crafted artisan jewelry, and because they know I use the best material.
Tell us a story about this website.
My blog post about my bead board has been featured on industrial crafting web sites.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
The dark back ground makes photos of my work pop. The width is perfect, the side bar adds continuity on the right. While the navigation on the left is very clear and obvious. As I expand my site there is plenty of room to add new pages for sub categories.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
The iPhoto integration makes including photos of my work easy. Also the Etsy mini shop HTML code injection was nifty :)
