The goal of Malama Ke Kai is to give our guests a unique experience not found on other snorkel tours--an incredible science-based guided tour focused on fun, and on educating visitors about Hawaii's fragile reef ecosystem, and the ocean around it.
Owner Steve Cole and his experienced crew will be your guides as you:
Learn How Coral Reefs are formed and about the diverse ecosystem they support
Shore based snorkel explorations including fish, turtles, and other amazing creatures!
Participate in a marine life census and reef study.
Owner Steve Cole is a pioneer in eco-tourism on Kaua’i. He began as NaPali Eco Adventures in 1986, with bio-diesel tour boats on Na Pali coast. Steve is known as a "Waterman". He is a world class canoe paddler, captain, diver and surfer.

Malama Ke Kai - Reef Guides Hawaii is an environmentally focused guided Snorkel Tour based in Hanalei, Kauai.
In the summer months (May - October) our Snorkel Tours are centered on the North Shore by the St. Regis Princeville Resort, in cooperation with the St. Regis Resort, and also through the Westin Princeville Hotel.
In the winter months (October - April) we move to the sunny South Shore and focus our winter tours around the abundant reefs in the Poipu - Lawai area of South Kauai.

Note: Participants must be in good physical condition and able to swim unassisted. Tour includes a steep trail ad rock climbing.
This special tour includes interpretive stories about the Green Turtle's long journey through life, and what is being done to protect its habitat. You will also learn about the fish, coral and other sea creatures we come across on this fun and informative snorkeling tour. Led by a marine ecologist and reef naturalist.

People traveling to Kauai for vacation and a real ocean eco-adventure. Snorkel tours and turtle tours are led by trained guides and focus on education and understanding of the importance of healthy, thriving reefs for the future health of our oceans and their creatures.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Malama Ke Kai Reef Snorkel tours are land based and eco friendly. You will learn a lot, have real fun in a safe environment, and learn much more about the culture and ecosystem of Kauai than with other tours.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
It is clean, so the photographs on the site could be the focus, rather than the design. The design had a variety of color schemes to work with, and was easy to set up and navigate.
