Describe your website.

Taken from various locations on our 100-acre property in far northern Maine, the website displays photos and video of black bearref="http://www.petramainewildlife.com/comments/wildlife-of-petra/bears.html">bears, moose, white-tailed deerref="http://www.petramainewildlife.com/comments/wildlife-of-petra/deer.html">deer, raccoons, rabbits, hares, squirrels, chipmunks, and various types of birds and insects, mostly taken from wildlife or trail cameras placed throughout the forests of Petra, Maine. Also included are reviews of the Primos Truth Cam 35 and Truth Cam 46 trail cameras, the Bushnell Trophy Cam, and other cameras and equipment that I have used in obtaining these photographs.

Who is the target audience for your website?

Our target audience may include those who have an interest in Maine wildlife, wildlife photography, or in the use of trail cameras, as well as those who have a general interest in northern Maine woodlands and forests.

What is the advantage of your website over others?

The Petra, Maine Wildlife Photos site displays all of the photos and video of animals, rather than a select few.

Tell us a story about this website.

Although I have not submitted the site to search engines or web directories, and have not spent one cent on site promotion, our traffic increases each month.

Why did you use this Sandvox design?

Initially, I was looking for a template that I could use to build from, or to change in order to make it more applicable to the purpose of my site, but the design that I found was perfect as it came. The function of the Petra, Maine Wildlife Photos site is to display photographs and video taken by myself, and by remote cameras place throughout a mostly wooded area in northern Maine, and the site design I chose has a wooded theme, and includes all of the variables that I would have desired.

What techniques did you use to build this website?

I have not used any complex techniques in the development of the site. I am using the photo album grid to display video as well as photographs, but nothing out of the ordinary was required in order to do this.
