Ron Christopher Photography is a sports photographer in Phoenix, Arizona providing team portrait services for high school and youth athletics.
Who is the target audience for your website?
Targeting coaches, athletic director, parents and student athletes. Age range from 10 to 50 years.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
Start page is clean, attractive and delivers an impressive, curiosity building, high impact message to the viewer through video without having to read a word.
Tell us a story about this website.
A number of my site viewers contacted me, asking if I would produce a video for the business or school's home page. Something I didn't expect, but am gratified to know the video has been so effective.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I am a photographer. As such, I need to be sure my work [will] stand out, not the web design. I wanted an expressive banner, but sleek and clean pages that would make my work pop out. There are some very nice layouts, but this design worked best for my theme. I would have used a design with a gray background, but didn't find one that looked as complimentary to my product.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
I will be adding many more of the built in features in the future. One special technique I employed so far was to create buttons in Photoshop for links in addition to or instead of word links. I also have designed some of my headlines in Photoshop to help them stand out from the body copy as a graphic.
